Rendered Passages

Passages approaches the unsettling potentiality of migration by exploring its performative dimension, by giving back and restoring (rendering up) in an attempt at transcoding and rephrasing, instead of fixity and portrayal. The works join to share their sense of what Sara Ahmed terms ‘uncommon estrangements’, aiming to open up blind spots around silenced narratives of migration that (un)settle grand narratives.
